Brian Wayne Morgan
1963 - 2005
Our loving son, brother, and friend returned to our Heavenly Father unexpectedly on March 29, 2005. He loved our Heavenly Father and enjoyed serving in the temple where he worked as a veil worker Friday and Saturday evenings. Brian was a man of God. He served a full time LDS mission to Taiwan and was called as a stake missionary to the Chinese-speaking people in the Boston area. Brian loved the Chinese people; he attended the Salt Lake University 39th (Chinese) Ward.
Brian was born on March 21, 1963 in Seattle, Washington. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed being with people. Brian was a scholar; he accomplished a great deal during his life. At a young age of 13 he received his Eagle Scout award. Brian graduated from Murray High School in 1981, and continued on to MIT where he received a bachelors degree in economics and a Masters of Business Administration. A few years later he earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from UC Berkeley.
He was loved by his parents Gary and Rosemary Morgan, his brothers, sisters, and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Brian shared a special bond with his brother Chad Henrichsen. The two were practically inseparable. Chad loved and admired his older brother and was loved by him. Brian will be dearly missed by all.

I was saddened to hear of Brian's passing. I remember what an intelligent young man he was. He was always friendly. He seemed to have accomplished many things in his short time on earth. I send my prayers to his family.

I am sorry to hear of Brian's passing. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family and friends.
Brian was in many of my school classes over the years. He was extremely intelligent and he had a great sense of humor. I admired his intellect and was impressed when I heard he was going to MIT. Over the years I heard of his accomplishments.
I managed to find my senior yearbook from high school and read the note Brian wrote in it. It made me smile. His note was kind and thoughtful as well as humorous. It brought back good memories. He won't be forgotten.

To the family of Brian Morgan - I am so sorry to hear of Brian's passing. I was a classmate of his at Murray High School. He is one of the brightest persons I have known. I have not seen Brian for over 20 years but I have kept informed of his accomplishments through the grapevine. I always intended to contact him when I heard he was back in SLC and yet I never got around to it.
My thoughts are with his family.

I'm so sorry to hear about Brian's passing. I think he is the most intelligent person I ever knew, but I never realized it at the time because he never talked down to people or tried to make himself the center of attention. He was just very kind and thoughtful. What a loss it must be to his family. Best wishes and God bless you.

I was very sad to hear the news of Brian's death. I remember Brian as a kind, intelligent and humorous person. I remember him telling jokes in high school that were far above the intellect of any of his audience!
My deepest sympathies to Brian's family.

Brian was a great classmate at Murray High. I loved his smile. He was always kind and so intelligent. I remember when he told me he would be going to MIT and I responded "what's that?" He was amazed that someone wouldn't know -- just one illustration of the different level he was on intellectually than many of his classmates. =)
Such a sweeet guy! I'm sad to hear of his passing, and send my deepest respects to his family. What a fine man he became.
With love,

Brian was a gentle and kind person. He will be sorely missed by the Class of '81. I have many fond memories of him, and can still hear the sound of his voice and picture his mannerisms...after all these years. Funny the things we remember about people, isn't it? Your family will be in my prayers.

Hopefully Brian's family will have the opportunity of reading this message. A former fellow missionary of Brian, pointed out Brian's passing to me. I had the privilege of serving as Brian's Mission President in Taiwan. When my wife and I first arrived there, he worked as financial secretary in the Mission Office. One of his duties was to help the Mission President's wife with the mission home. Brian was very attentive to our needs, and saw to it the water, electricity, appliances, and especially the air conditioner were kept running. This was a tremendous help to my wife, who had never before lived in a foreign country. Brian served well, and had a good handle on the Chinese language. He was lots of fun, and worked hard. I remember clearly in my mind as I type this message of going into the financial office one evening to speak to Elder Morgan, and when I opened the door, I found him on his knees praying. It is a picture that I will always treasure. May God bless his family during this painful event. Monte B. Carlson

Brian was a gentleman in every respect. His kindness is remembered at this time. How proud you must be of your son, brother and friend, for his acheivements far exceed his time here on earth. Brian was alway prepared, as I recall from being with him in Debate, and there is no doubt that he is well prepared for the new adventures that await him. May treasured memories sustain you all during this very difficult time.

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Brian. He was a kind and extremely intelligent individual. I remember being motivated by him during Health class in 8th or 9th grade. During that class he informed me of how he had read each chapter 4 times before taking the test. He was clearly one of the stand outs of the MHS class of 1981. I express my sympathy and wish the family the very best during this time.
