To all of my brothers and sisters,

Dad always promised me he would come up to Washington to see me after he died. This past Sunday I was filling my Church assignment in the Monroe prison. The prisoner who picked the songs to sing chose, "How Great Thou Art." I told him that 6 days ago my Dad had that song in his funeral program and that it brought back such wonderful memories of our celebration of his life. When he announced the closing hymn, I nearly fell off my chair. He chose the other song that was sung by the congregation, "Be Still My Soul (I think that is the name). When I told him, he offered to change it to spare me the emotion and I told him not to change it. He then told me that he had planned to sing another humn but something prompted him to change it to the song that was sung at Dad's funeral. What are the odds of this being a coincidence? I felt Dad's presence during that meeting and don't believe that it was a coincidence. I think he found a way to let me know he had fullfilled his promise to come and visit me.

Love,

Dearest Kathy and family,
I am so sorry to hear of your father's passing. It's so hard to lose both parents within a short span. I'm sure your dad must have been so lonesome for your mom. What a wonderful reunion they must be sharing. I'm happy for them but sad for you. Much love and prayers of comfort,
